Young Cancer Warrior Loses Dad
Donation protected
Hello Friends, This is Seijun Caitlin Fabens. As many of you know this has been a difficult time for our family. It is hard to know where to start. We have been dealt a tremendous blow. Curtis unexpectedly died very recently. This has happened in the midst of our daughter’s Leukemia treatment.
She is no stranger to life changing events. She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, celiac disease, and Leukemia before age 5. In the face of all this she remains a bright spot in the universe bringing joy and love to other patients, nurses, doctors, and anyone else she meets. She teaches children at school and playgrounds about leukemia and type 1 diabetes when they notice her NG tube or diabetes devices. She is a confident and friendly advocate.
Any donations will go toward our daughter’s cancer care, Curtis’s end of life costs, and maintaining our family.
Curtis received Dharma Transmission only a few weeks before his death. His final teaching was a message to his daughter. On the day of his death a double rainbow appeared in the sky (the first our daughter had ever seen). We frolicked in a brief rainstorm (unheard of in August) and marveled at the rainbow. I told her it was her father telling her he loves her and is on to the next adventure.
Thank you for reading our story. Any amount you can contribute will be so greatly appreciated. If you are not able to contribute money at this time please consider sharing our story with your friends and family. Thank you.
