Young family broken by loss of both Parents

On behalf of my Dear friend Fallon, who is in need of support through the most unimaginable pain ever, I would like to share the following;

Carl Ashcroft had flown out to Palm Springs California on November 9th to visit his daughter and grandchildren and planned to stay over Thanksgiving and Christmas. He was staying with his daughter and son in law and planned to work on his suffering marriage to Kathy. Kathy was not staying at the home upon Carls arrival.

On Sunday afternoon Kathy came to pick up Fallon from her home but agreed to come into the house as she had misplaced a couple of her personal items and believed she may have left them inside. Fallon greeted her mum along with her baby son and father. They proceeded to the kitchen area where Carl asked Kathy to speak with him just outside in the back yard and sign a paper. Fallon remained close by in the kitchen with her son.

Moments after stepping outside Fallon heard concerning noise expecting an argument when two shots were fired. Fallon saw her parents and fell into complete shock. Ben and their two young daughters were in the second living area and also heard gun shots but were not aware of who was shooting and if they were in danger.

Following screams from Fallon, Ben ran to make sure she hadn’t been hurt and removed all 3 children out of the home into the separate casita at the front of the home. The 3 small children were locked into the casita and safe- Ben consoled Fallon and alerted authorities.

Fallon was taken to hospital while Ben remained with the children and later met at the police station for questioning. Fallon aged 35 being Kathy's only daughter and Carl having a son, Jason aged 39 the family were a very close, tight knit household. Carl and Kathy had been married for 35 years.

Through this page we want to support Fallon, Ben and their 3 month old baby Micah, 11 year old Daughter Nevaeh and 9 year old daughter Kyah who utterly adored by both Kathy and Carl. Fallon is currently in Palm Springs with her spouse and small children and is unable to return to her property due to what has occurred inside there. Neither Fallon or Ben have family in California.

They are eager to get back to the UK where Fallon can be around her family in Wigan and her friends in Manchester to help her and her children through this horrific time. She is currently on Maternity leave and Ben is taking on the responsibility of making the necessary arrangements to get Fallon to the UK as quickly as possible.

They are currently facing extensive responsibilities that are adding additional stress and pressure onto the family, these include paying to release both of her parents bodies and the cremation. Thus allowing her to bring them home with her. Then eventually along with her family they can scatter the ashes in the places they each loved the most. Kathy's being in Virginia where her beloved mother was laid to rest and Carls being in Wigan. The task of placing all of the belongings in the home into storage and hiring removal company to do this to avoid any distress with entering the home again.

Micah is in need of an expedited passport in which this will involve fallon and her partner Ben having to travel hours away to San Diego and rent a place to stay whilst the passport is processed.

The return of Kathy's treasured animals to the UK, her Siamese cats Rocco and Zoriah will need to be sent on a flight as these were Kathy's pride and joy. Kindly her best friend Suzanne is going to take them in as she knows Kathy would have wanted this.

And finally flights from the US to the UK to bring Fallon, her partner Ben and the children.

All these costs are overwhelming and taking the focus away from the healing this young family need to start doing. My friend needs to return to the UK as soon as is possible but until the above is done she is in limbo and this is affecting her every day.No one ever expects to lose both parents on the same day, in the house your family live in, and in an instant to now be faced with all these obstacles to go through to be able to gback to the people that she needs to support her through her excruciating loss.

The money raised will be used to book fallon and her young family flights back to the UK and to place all of there belongings into storage until they are able to decide what the next step for them will be.
