INCURABLE CANCER. Father of 3 girls TOLD THE WORST

My name is Simon from Canberra Australia. Many know me for working with the less fortunate in Cambodia and Thailand. But this is so very close to home and heart.

My dear friend of many years was suffering from some bowel obstruction for some time. Scans only a couple weeks back have confirmed a large mass that's blocking his bowel and the biopsy now confirms he is Stage 3 Cancer. 

Nigel has been placed on chemotherapy immediately with radiation to follow soon. In the hope to reduce the tumour size enough for a surgical procedure and save his life. 

Doctors were left with no choice but to operate on his bowels and fit him with a colostomy bag, which is likely now permanent for the young 32yr old. 

Nigel has a lovely young wife and three beautiful little girls to care for and is now left completely unable to work for likely 12 months plus. After which, there's the possibility he may not return to his full working potential. Like many Australian families, they have just finished the building of their family home which they can no longer afford to manage, especially in this economic crisis with rates at highs not seen in decades. They have only one car and Nigel already has multiple appointments in a day, which will make this struggle even harder. 

Doctors have advised Nigel's wife to brace for a long hard road ahead and be ready to be a full-time home carer for Nigel. Doctors advised seeking help with the three girls will also be needed as she is likely going to be so drained from helping Nigel through this.

Nigel is a very quiet person who finds it hard to accept or ask for help. This is why I am personally heading this as I know too well what they will face and the impossibility of maintaining their mortgage payments, day-to-day bills, medical care and the respite needed with the three beautiful little girls. 

All funds raised will go directly to the family to cover medical costs, transport and living expenses, due to no income now. I have personally made large contributions already and will continue to support them financially and mentally.
