Young Gazan Family Split up by the War Needs your Help
Donation protected
In the midst of ongoing conflict and hardship, a Palestinian family in Gaza is facing dire circumstances. We have an opportunity to offer them a lifeline—a chance for safety, stability, and a new beginning here in Canada.
The Al-Mashharawi family, residing in Gaza, faces an agonizing separation due to the war that erupted last October. Hadeel and Mohammed Al-Mashharawi are parents to two young children: 5-year-old Adam and 2-year-old Zaher. Unfortunately, Mohammed was in Egypt on October 5, 2023, seeking work when the hostilities began. The border closure has kept him away from his family ever since.
The home in which the Al-Mashharawi family lived has been destroyed; Hadeel's interior design business has been destroyed. This family will be starting with a completely blank slate, and all they have is each other. Their children are living in unhealthy, unsafe conditions and Zeher is becoming increasingly unwell with respiratory illness. There are no medical facilities to treat her adequately, let alone necessary medicines.
We are seeking to raise funds necessary to relocate this family to Canada via the Group of 5 Sponsorship program. Our hope is that this family can leave behind the nightmare this war has caused and start new in a country that rewards hard work and earnest dedication.
Your support can make a profound difference. By sponsoring this family, you’ll be helping them escape the dangers they face daily and providing them with a safe environment where they can rebuild their lives and contribute to our community.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal. Your generosity will help cover essential costs such as travel, settlement, and initial living expenses, ensuring that this family can start their new life with dignity and hope.
Together, we can offer them a future filled with opportunities and a chance to live in peace. Please consider contributing to this vital cause and share this campaign with others who may want to help. Thank you for your compassion and support.
