Young people on their journey to a more independent life

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Honeycomb Charitable Services, and any donation will help make an impact. Concrete, our charity brand whose mission is to make homelessness history provides a wide range of services to support people including young people, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Concrete provides accommodation and housing related support for young people who have faced challenges in life, challenges which mean they need more than a roof over their heads, they need other support and guidance to build their confidence, self-esteem and skills to an independent life, one where they can thrive and achieve.

I am challenging myself to run the Potters Arf; taking place on the 29th September the Potters Arf is hilly and challenging! I am not new to running but have got in a routine where I run the same distance (3 miles) and the same route (mainly a flat route) on a regular basis. A much longer, hilly route is quite a challenge but one I am inspired to do not least because the young people in our service face daily challenges just to survive so it's the least I can do. I have seen first-hand the impact our support has on the young people and of their appreciation to being giving the opportunity to have a better start in life, something which we all want for the young people in our society.

A little goes a long way - £10 could provide a week’s worth of essential supplies for a young person. £80 could cover one excursion for a group of Young People improving their confidence and shaping friendships. £200 could cover a full room refurb for a Newcomer. So please, give what you can to help me help our young people.
