Young People's Continental Congress

Help support the Carpenters' Company of the City and County of Philadelphia as we host the Young People's Continental Congress in 2024 and 2025. YPCC brings high schoolers and their teachers (from the 13 original colonies in 2024 and from all 56 states and jurisdictions in 2025) to Philadelphia and Carpenters' Hall, the site of the First Continental Congress in 1774. A National Partner Program of America250, YPCC will start the countdown to the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026.

These students and teachers - our delegates - will uncover the history of our nation's founding, explore the founding principles of our democracy, and debate and discuss current issues regarding democracy and citizenship. As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, they will be hosted all-expenses paid for the week.
