Your Brown Jack Landlady Tracey
Donation protected
<UPDATE>
Following discussions with EDF today it would seem that we have been misled on the outstanding amount and the situation is graver than was initially thought. The total outstanding is an astronomical amount and has been a complete shock. Tracey has been paying every month and the debt is rising. PLEASE, PLEASE carry on donating, every little helps us to reduce the total a little.
Thanks, Lesley
My sister and your landlady Tracey is the last person to ask for help, therefore I find myself doing this for her. As you know she has made the hard decision to walk away from the pub after 15 months of investing heavily, giving her heart and soul, as well as financially, overcoming every challenge along the way.
Unfortunately with the energy crisis last year, Tracey found it hard to keep afloat through the winter, and it has been hard to get back on track. Most people are aware that the first year in any business is the hardest, however this coupled with high energy bills and recent floodings, have left her feeling beaten.
Traceys customers and staff, who she now calls friends, and the local community, are distraught. Tracey has been overwhelmed by messages of support and offers to help. This go fund me page has been set up to provide the community the opportunity to do this.
Compliments have been flooding in, on how Tracey has really brought the community together. The Brown Jack is now a place where everyone feels welcome, and you're treated as family, whoever you are.
Tracey has nurtured the Brown Jack into more than a pub, but the heart of the village. Some highlights are, Easter Bonnet Competition, Summer Beach party, awesome 80's Fancy Dress Party, 80's Weekender, Day at the Races, Battle of the Bands, Beer Festival, recently launched, Car Boot Sale, Breakfast with Santa, monthly Karaoke, Play Your Cards Right, Charity events, such as Breast Cancer Awareness Afternoon Tea, St Patrick got a Red Nose Day, Duck Race, Eurovision Party, Brown Jack Royal Tea Party. Local community groups, knitting group, local darts and crib team, Pool competitions, for the professionals amongst us as well as the kids....and so much more to come.
On a personal note I couldn't be more proud of Tracey and its devastating to see all her efforts and that of her team be in vain. Help us to continue building this invaluable community hub within our village.
All donations will contribute to reducing some of the financial burden of a historical bill accumulated during the energy crisis that has been crippling the finances at the Brown Jack.
Thank you all so much for your love, kindness, and overwhelming support especially over the past few days.
