Your help could save a precious life

Hi, my name is Parwiz and I am fundraising for my father-in-law who is in need of emergency surgery in Pakistan. Unlike here in the US, you must pay the hospital in advance for surgery and after care, and as we just recently arrived here after being evacuated due to the Taliban takeover, we do not have funds to pay for the surgery so we are reaching out to the community to request help.

As background, my father-in-law worked as a government prosecutor in the previous government of Afghanistan (before the Taliban seized power). He worked with US forces in Afghanistan to sentence and jail terrorists and other criminals. When US forces left Afghanistan, he was left behind and was not evacuated as were million of other Afghans.

Recently, he fell and broke his back and had surgery in Afghanistan. Unfortunately that surgery was a failure and he now has internal bleeding and is in need of a much better surgeon. We were able to get him to Pakistan and they have stabilized him, but won’t operate until he has the funds to give them.

Here are the breakdown of the costs:

* Hospital Admission charges: USD 500

* Treatment, doctor visit and operation costs: USD 2500

* Medications, post operation room charges and miscellaneous charges: USD 500
