Your Mom's House, LLC Needs a Home!

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Martin Hernandez. My wife, Makayla, and I want to open a food truck one day. A food truck sourced mostly, if not entirely, from a farm we hope to start. To get there, I figured the best way was to build to it, and so in 2021 we established Your Mom's House, LLC to start our journey by selling handcrafted all natural beauty and hygiene products. We ran into some trouble though, with her doctors appointments 2 1/2 hours away(she's been physically disabled) and on our 2nd vehicle to mechanic on, animal vet visits (our puppy broke her growth plate), and neighbors that we're sure killed our 2 coop/comfort cats, we're hoping to find a safer and more habitable home. One we can own so if anything breaks we wont need to rely on slum lord landlords to never do as they say until they sell the house, then only cover it up enough to sell. My apologies,  I'll stop ranting about the negatives! I looked into a USDA beginner farm loan, but don't qualify becuase of my prior record with a controlled substance charge, but never the less, where there's a will there's is a way! I'm going to keep grinding away, but while I do I thought I'd throw this line out there and pray we get some help! The seller is willing to take the contract, but needs 10% down. If you donate, we'll use the money for the downpayment. We looked at the property today and it looks perfect for us! Little creek running along the property, next to an elementary school, Not in a flood zone! We would do more than just live in this house though! It would also serve as our Base of Ooperations for Your Mom's House, LLC. Our big plans for our little start up include getting trade schools started in our rural areas and giving people an option on what they can learn. Try to make them as low cost as possible, which is the goal everywhere, right? Self-sufficiency and teaching people new things efficiently! We're just hoping to be a positive force in this uncertain world anymore, and have been working the last 5 years to be just that, and more! Please help give this little startup a HUGE leg up in a time of need. Any donations, we'll send you a basket of our products as a thank you! If you like it we can get you signed up for our subcription options! Research and Development for Products Always In the Works so new products will be coming soon! Thank you for reading, I appreciate your time.

It's come to my attention that I never mention any solid plans on what we're doing. We have a few products available for sale, our growing portfolio of natural beauty products currently include Hair and Beard oil, Sugarscrub w/ or w/o organic charcoal, Natural Oil based Make-up remover also w/ or w/o charcoal, Cuticle Cream, Scalp cleanser, Skin butter(we have an assortment of molds for children), and an assortment of essential and fragrance oils that all of these products can be infused with. We've been funding it with my full time position as a golf course mechanic, and are working towards opening up a credit line so we can scale up when we need to. We've also been looking into getting Makayla her estethitions license to be able to add some services along with our products. I'm also practicing on becoming a voice-actor/narrator so be on the lookout for that. :) We have a good wholesaler who's ingredients are high quality and has lots of Certified Oregon Organic choices.  We started a Facebook business page to showcase what we currently have and plan on opening a website soon. We're researching and developing new products as well, for example, a Mustache Wax dispensed from a chapstick tube for easy application. We'll have more to come as soon as we have more room! Once we get to the point of scaling, then we would begin saving for materials to make a Food truck and begin a detailed plan for that venture. With the food truck idea, we want to figure out how to set up kitchens for homeless people. When my wife and I were homeless, figuring out how to eat was difficult. We were lucky enough to have an income so we were staying in a motel after a bit, but that was my whole paycheck every week. Shortly before that we had no income and lived out of Makayla's truck, definitely had a worse diet then. But even with a fortunate roof we had  no way to cook meals, so we still ate quite unhealthy food (microwave baked potatoes, eggs fried on the coffee maker, and complimentary breakfast the motel served was a main source for a bit). We want to be able to change that, and give people the opportunity to work for food as well. We've played around with an idea of a rehab house that employed its clients so they can earn work experience while also building their own personal set of tools to continue the positive momentum. Franchise and create houses for minors as well. We're starting small, but hope to become a household name for the big changes we want to make. It won't be easy, but it'll definitely be worth it. 100 fold. If you have any questions, whatsoever! Please comment or message us and we'll answer.

Another thing I didn't think about, I was looking at a website called Kickstarter, I believe it's called,  and it offers tiered rewards for donaters. I mentioned we'd send you a gift basket, but I'd also like to mention that I'll probably be a little weird (depending on how it's taken) and ask for your birthday so we can send you presents every year we're open, which if all goes according to plan, will be 120+ years.
