In February of 2022, Jim underwent an emergency procedure for a perforated colon that, unexpectedly, led to the diagnosis of colon cancer.

Initially, though several life-altering complications arose [prohibiting him to return to work], doctors were able to remove all cancer and after 6 months of chemotherapy, he was said to be cancer free.

Since then, the cancer has returned and metastasized to his liver and one of his lungs. Because chemotherapy severely weakened his immune system, he is now undergoing aggressive weekly natural therapy to target the cancer and manage the spread of it.
