Help fund Youth Against Racism & Inequality's work

Youth Against Racism and Inequality is producing a leaflet aimed at exposing the truth around what happened to George Nkencho on 30th December 2020. The shooting dead by Gardai of a young black man on his doorstep in front of his family is a massive injustice. We hope that such a leaflet, massively distributed in Dublin 15 & nationally, could help bring out the truth and bring justice for George's family and community.
YARI was established by young people nationally in the Summer of 2020, after the historic BLM protests. We aim to expose the roots of racism in the society we live in, that is set up to divide young & working class people among race, sexuality and gender -- and organise to fight against it!
Our grassroots campaigns, which we constantly need to fundraise for to ensure we can achieve our goals, have included:
- banner drops against racism in Dublin, Cork & Limerick city centres but also in a dozen of different schools and colleges across the country in autumn 2020;
- the organisation of a public letter and protest at the Dail against racism in education in December 2020;
- campaigning for justice for George Nkencho, including organising an online survey to expose racism in the Gardai, protests in front of GSOC offices, a bus from Dublin 15 to the RDS to facilitate young people’s participation to a protest, etc.
We hope to print 20,000 copies of the leaflet we are producing, which will cost €1,441.45 total. Any extra campaigning fund will go towards assisting transporting the leaflet to areas outside of Dublin & future campaigns.
As an organisation that doesn’t have any illusions in the establishment & big businesses, we do not accept any donations from bosses and billionaires.
If you agree with what YARI is trying to achieve, donate today! We are particularly appealing to anti racist groups and individuals to help fund us in this venture.
