Youth Memorial along the James River
Donation protected
Over the past few years, several youth in the Lynchburg area have tragically passed away too soon. These youth were friends, siblings, and loved ones. I am partnering with the James River Association and Lynchburg Parks and Recreation to create a youth memorial trail on Percival's Island. With the money you donate, we hope to place five benches with signs indicating the trail will be a place of reverence and contemplation. When my friend, Avonlea Wilmer, passed away in 2015, I wanted a place where I could think about her and remember the influential life that she led. This trail will be a sanctuary of contemplation and open to the public so everyone can have a place to remember those who have passed away too soon. To make this service project possible, we are hoping to raise the funds by June 1 and every little bit will help!
