Youth Nationals Archery 2024
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
I am fundraising money to help send my 10 year old daughter to Youth Nationals 2024 to compete in the U14 Compound archery division.
Since my daughter started archery post-COVID, the national competition has been “online” in that the kids shot locally and then compared scores nationally. While this was a great short-term solution, it becomes unfair when archery can be influenced heavily by weather etc, meaning some kids have ideal shooting conditions and some might not (yes, they shoot in the wind and rain). Plus, they really miss out on the exposure to other kids who share their sport.
Next year it is being held in Canberra. The trip will cost around $3000 for flights, accomodation, car hire, entry fees etc etc.
For the past two Nationals my daughter has shot at, she has won silver medals, despite being only 9 and 10 years old at the time. She will still be 10 years old when she competes next year in March.
Every little bit will help ensure I can take her to compete. If you can spare a few dollars to help keep her passion for archery alive, I would much appreciate it. Thank you so much! She works hard, training several times per week, and often shooting up to 6 hrs on the weekends.
