Hello, my name is Paulette, and I am fundraising for my family, as we are now faced with the painful task of burying my sister, Jennifer Johnson.

Jennifer (Jenn), who lived in Jamaica, was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer in 2022, and with the treatments, everything looked promising.

In January 2024, Jenn came to Canada to visit our grandmother whose health was deteriorating and her chances of recovery were dismal.

As fate would have it, our grandmother died, and Jenn stayed for the funeral.

Shortly thereafter, while still with us in Canada, our worst fears were realized, Jenn's health started to rapidly decline. The family sought medical support, and things started to look promising, until that sudden and drastic turn, once again.

Our family crisis was further compounded in July 2024, and our mother passed away in Jamaica. Under the advisement of the medical practitioners, Jenn was not permitted to travel (fly) back home to attend our mother's funeral.

On August 16, 2024, Jenn was rushed to Brampton Civic Hospital. The family watched as Jenn got weaker and weaker and then eventually lost the fight to this dreadful cancer on Thursday, September 5, 2024.

Due to the rules and regulations in Canada, the family is now faced with having to transport Jenn's remains back to Jamaica and to handle the funeral arrangements.

Jenn was only 57 years old and had SOOOO much that she wanted to do, but time wasn't promised to her (or no one).

Jenn is my sister, she is a mother, wife, aunt and dear friend to many.

Due to the myriad of financial obligations that the family has had to undertake, we have depleted all our funds.

The family craves your donations to lay her remains to rest. Your contribution, thoughts, and prayers will be greatly appreciated.
