Support Lynette's Battle Against Bladder Cancer
Donation protected
Lynette, a bright light in our lives, is facing a difficult battle with bladder cancer. The surgeries and ongoing treatment require frequent trips to Chicago, placing a significant financial strain on Lynette and Pablo.
We're reaching out to friends, family, and anyone who can help ease this burden.
Donations will go towards:
Medical Expenses: Mounting costs associated with surgeries, medications, and ongoing treatment.
Travel Expenses: The financial strain of traveling back and forth to Chicago for appointments.
By contributing, you'll be directly helping Lynette focus on healing and recovery, and giving their family some peace of mind during this challenging time.
No amount is too small, and every contribution brings Lynette closer to beating this. Please share this link with anyone who might be willing to help.
Thank you for your compassion and support!
Lynette’s Story:
Lynette's journey with bladder cancer began in April 2023 when she sought medical help for new and concerning bladder symptoms. Unfortunately, her pleas went unheard for months. Finally, in August, a doctor in Chicago diagnosed her with a rare, advanced form of bladder cancer. Thankfully, this particular cancer didn't require chemotherapy or radiation.
Lynette underwent radical surgery to remove the cancer. However, complications arose, leading to multiple hospital stays, various serious kidney infections, and unsuccessful procedures to address these issues. Finding consistent and responsive medical care proved challenging due to the complexity of her case.
Exhausted from the year-long battle with excruciating pain and unanswered questions, Lynette persevered. Finally, she found a new urologic oncologist who specializes in robotic surgery. This doctor listened attentively to her concerns and seems to be providing the care and explanations she deserves.
Lynette recently underwent another exploratory surgery and biopsies. She now awaits the results, including the health of her kidneys after a year of complications, and the possibility of reconstructive surgery to address the issues stemming from the initial surgery.
A beacon of hope shines through this challenging journey. Lynette's new oncologist has implemented a comprehensive monitoring plan. This includes a tumor DNA test from August, regular blood tests every 3 months to detect any circulating tumor DNA, and regular CAT scans. If the cancer returns, immunotherapy will be a potential treatment option.
