Hi everyone, im kristi. I'm a single 33-year-old dental assistant, and I live with my three fur babies. I have two 5-year-old black lab/retriever mixes, and I just rescued 14-week-old blue heeler puppy a few weeks before a lot of my most recent hardship started. My dogs are my whole world, and I love them all like they're my children. Whenever I'm not working, I'm spending time with them!
My hardship started when I was exposed to COVID a couple of months back and was reqired to quarantine for a week without pay. Then my $1250 cash i had that was supposed to go to my landlord the very next morning was taken from my car at work. Luckily i have an amazing landlord that is working with me through this. I was now months behind on a lot of my bills, and I was slowly starting to catch up when I started to experience some abdominal pain. It got so bad that I decided to go to the ER, and it's lucky that I did because it turned out that I needed emergency surgery that same day. However, while I'm thankful to have been able to get my health in order, I did miss another week of work without pay, and I can't afford that on top of now about $12000 in medical bills and the bills that I was already behind on. My biggest concern right now is rent. I am over a month behind with the first of march just around the corner. I owe around 1400 to be current at this time. 2nd main concern is with the $1400 xcel electric bill because I'm currently just weeks away from having my power shut-off completely. Xcel gas priced have doubled this winter.
As I work to recover and focus on my health, I'm worried about my outlook if my power is shut off during the middle of winter or losing my rental home. Denver gets very cold this time of year, and without power, I won't be able to heat my home properly, and with no home, well thats what we are trying to avoid because I can still turn this around with a little support. So, I'm very humbly seeking assistance with my electric bill, rent and something to put towards my medical bills so that I can keep my power on and us in our home. With this help, since i am back working again, I'll be able to keep up with all of my expenses going forward. For that, I would be truly grateful to everyone who lends me a hand. Thank you
