We truly can't believe it, but it's true: Hold the Applause Productions has the opportunity to move into a performance facility THIS YEAR! That's right - we will finally have our own home for the Hold the Applause family to rehearse, perform, and gather!
Recently, we announced our most ambitious season to date - full of magic, heart, and resilience (three things that help us run this theatre company every day). As a not-for-profit arts and community organization, charitable contributions are vital to our mission to create theatrical experiences that inspire artists and audiences towards compassion, collaboration, and community engagement.
While this is a step that we are financially able to take, we would love your help in generating a buffer of money so that we can kick off the season right. In addition to rental costs, we need to pay for insurance policies, building upkeep, and much more - on top of all of the normal costs of putting on a show!
The target we need to raise before June 15 is $5,000. That's a 6-week time frame, at the end of which we will have not only our own facility, but also a substantial base for our first show of the season: Legally Blonde JR.
Hold the Applause Productions is proud to serve the Albuquerque community. To date, we’ve produced dozens of shows that have brought together diverse performers and artists, and hosted classes and events for local artists to educate the community. Through this all, we hope that we have fostered lifelong participation in theatre.
None of this would have been possible without you. But now, we need you now more than ever.
Please support us as we strive to create something amazing for this community. With our own facility to call "home," we can provide the Albuquerque community with more than ever before. We are looking forward to all of the shows, classes, workshops, Q&As, concerts, and readings (and so much more!) that we will be able to bring to our community.
Ticket sales and educational fees alone don’t cover all of the costs associated with “bringing the curtain up” - so much of it comes from the generosity of supporters like you.
