Faith based fellowship is an emergency housing program that focuses not only on housing, but on the transition to the workforce entry or renter in Erie County since 2003. Currently we service individuals who have had an interruption in their life and help them rebound through our programs so that they can become independent, productive, taxpaying members of society again. Stable housing and job placement activities are the crucial components in which the goal is the immediate return to independent living. In doing so, we are looking to expand our program to offer permanent housing for 20 individuals. Offering permanent housing will allow for the reduction of barriers that may make the transition into the workforce difficult and, at the same time, provide the necessary case management services to ensure that the continued supportive service needs of the individual are not compromised once they return to the workforce. We currently own two vacant lots and wish to develop a one-stop shop for all our participants. Unfortunately, we are running into some funding issues due to an inability to hire an onsite case manager. We are hoping the online community can help us build this campus which will focus on helping individuals with stable housing and returning to independent living. We will also use the funds to obtain an onsite case manager and all day-to-day operational costs. Any amount you're willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated, and if you aren't able to contribute money at this time, a share with your friends and family would mean the world to us as well.
