Assistance for Amber

Hi Everyone,

On the morning of 9/5/2023, an innocent school teacher was on her way to work in Lynn, MA when she was severely injured by two people who were attempting to flee from the police in a car that was stolen the night before allegedly at gunpoint. Well, that innocent school teacher is Amber Fournier and is why this GoFundMe has been created. In case you don't know the details of what occured, I will lay it out for you. The car that struck Amber was being operated by two individuals that morning when police started to pursue them through the congested streets of Lynn. Consequently, this turned into a wild car chase between the police and these two individuals where they sped through a red light and t-boned Amber's vehicle . The impact of the crash caused Amber to lose consciousness and lose control of her car, which then hit a tree and flipped landing on it’s roof where she was pinned upside down. Bystanders rushed to her aid until paramedics arrived, and those paramedics realized quickly that she was in bad shape, including visibly having a broken femur (thigh bone). She was medevac’d via helicopter to Brigham & Women’s hospital when her leg was set and pinned just to get her through the rest of the day until they could perform surgical repair by inserting a steel rod into her femur. She also has several other soft tissue injuries that will require further medical attention. If you are to see a video clip of the crash and/or pictures of her vehicle post-crash, you would say that it is lucky that Amber is alive.

There is so many incredible things to be said about Amber, but it is important to note that she is a single mom of two young girls (10 and 13) who works 1 full-time job as an ESL specialist teacher at Ingalls Elementary School in Lynn and 2 part-time jobs just to make ends meet. She is an extremely loving sister and daughter who would do anything for her family, an amazing friend, one of the funniest people you will meet, and so much more. She just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time and is now paying (physically, emotionally, and financially) for the poor decision making and actions of the people responsible for this car accident.

Because of this car crash and the injuries she has sustained, Amber will be unable to work for an extended period of time as a school teacher and certainly cannot partake in her part-time jobs because they require her to be on her feet and mobile. Between the medical bills, her car being totaled, her inability to work for some time due to the recovery period and nature of her jobs, Amber is in desperate need of any finacial help that she can receive to cover rent, food, other bills, and the needs of her two daughters.

Please donate to this cause so that Amber can have some relief while trying to piece her life back together and get through her recovery without the weight of what this means for her financially. I know that Amber would bend over backwards for pretty much anyone she cares about and for those in true need of assistance, so please do the same for her if you are able to. Any amount is appreciated and is very helpful! Thank you for assisting Amber :-).

Sincerely,
Amber's friends and family
