Hey, there family and friends!!

I am reaching out to you today because we have a kiddo at my school that needs help. He is the son of one of my teachers and has been fighting Myelodyplastic Syndrome for several years. Mom and Dad are teachers, and his treatment has, so far, been predominantly covered by insurance. 

He has been receiving treatment at Phoenix Children's Hospital and is receiving great care. However, recently, they have found an increase in cancer cells in his blood. The current and best treatment available is through Mayo clinic and is not covered by his insurance. His parents have opted to pay cash for this treatment because it is his best chance at success. This is becoming exponentially expensive, quickly.

I am mobilizing my cancer warriors and friends on this. I see this sweet kid every day and he is a ray of sunshine. He loves soccer and swimming. He doesn't want his name used because he doesn't want people to feel sorry for him or for kids at school to treat him differently.

I've had a front row seat to the way human kindness can rise up. I told this Mama... "Just wait until you see how good, beautiful, and strong the human spirit is."
