Help Jen Fight Breast Cancer

In April of 2020, Jen found a lump while doing a self check breast exam and followed up with her doctor. She was breastfeeding her son and thought it could be a clogged duct or mastitis, and was treated for that accordingly. When the lump didn't go away she had an ultrasound and an immediate mammogram. Two days later, a biopsy. Five days later she received the call with the biopsy results. In the midst of a global pandemic, Jennifer was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer, an aggressive form of the disease. She saw a surgeon and an oncologist after that. At this time her treatment plan is 5 months of chemo followed by surgery and possibly radiation. She is very thankful to have caught this aggressive form of breast cancer early and is grateful to have been able to start chemo soon after her diagnosis. She urges others to please do their self check breast exams as this could happen to anyone.
