Bigger on the Inside Studios

Hi, my name is Jeremy Lafary. I’m currently a pastor in the United Methodist Church serving in Bement IL.  In my previous career, I worked with many bands as a booking agent, manager, as a show promoter and I was also in a number of bands.  Towards the end of that time in my life, I owned a recording studio but abandoned that to follow my call into the ministry.  Now that I’m done with seminary and am working as a pastor, I would like to get back into recording bands and musicians. 

 A dream of mine has always been to own a recording studio as a ministry and offer recording services to bands and musicians for free.  There are so many amazing bands and musicians out there who don’t get record deals and therefore can’t afford to record a professional sounding album and the public is missing out on some amazing music. I want to change that.  If I am able to raise enough money to start my studio, I will never charge a band or a musician to record in it.  It’s something that I’ve always had a passion for but can’t afford to piece together a studio on my own.

 So this is where I’m turning to the Internet.  I typically don’t like asking for money, but God has laid this ministry on my heart so I figured I should follow through with it and at least try to raise the money. 

 One of the cool things about recording a band is the intense amount of time that the band spends in a studio. Within that time, there is a lot of time to speak into the bands’ lives and minister to them.  That is what I will consider to be the main part of my ministry.

 That being said, I’m trying to raise $7,000 to begin to piece together a professional recording studio. If I raise the money for a studio, I will never charge anyone to use the studio. Thank you for considering helping me reach my goal.
