Ysgol Dyffryn Aman LEGO FLL National Finals 2024

We are a team of year 9 pupils from Ysgol Dyffryn Aman in South Wales who have recently been crowned the South West Wales LEGO FLL Regional Champions. This is a prestigious title and one which Ysgol Dyffryn Aman are immensely proud of. As a school we have competed over the last 10+ years and won a range of different awards, but this is the first time we have won the overall competition and are therefore very excited for the next step...THE UK NATIONAL FINALS.

We scored the highest points in the head-to-head LEGO Robot challenge, impressed the judges with our LEGO Robot design and programming as well as presented an innovation project around the theme of empowering girls into boxing which the judges could see through our prototype and presentation skills.

We are one of only two secondary schools from Wales chosen to compete in the UK National Finals on April 20th 2024 in Harrogate Convention Centre and we would like your support to ensure we are able to embrace this amazing opportunity. Having only recently been informed of the date and with a short lead time until the competition we urgently need to raise funds to enable us to attend.

We see this as a once in a lifetime opportunity and for many of us as it is so far to travel this would be our first stay-away school trip which makes it even more of an experience for us.

The money raised will go towards the cost of travel and accommodation for the weekend.

We are all really excited to be going to the Finals to represent our school and all of Wales and we aim to do our very best and make those who have supported us proud.
