Lynxi's Breast Cancer Fundraiser

Lynxi was first diagnosed with Stage 3 triple negative breast cancer in April. She has gone through 6 months of chemotherapy, and after her first surgery in early October was unsuccessful, brought in for emergency surgery. The emergency surgery was not successful either, and she has since had a mastectomy and they have removed lymph nodes. Future treatment is scheduled including immunotherapy, radiation, possibly chemotherapy or more if these are also unsuccessful.

Going through cancer and the incredibly debilitating treatments for it has meant Lynxi can no longer work full time as a streamer and this has naturally affected her income hugely. In addition to this, she has to drive over an hour to the hospital where she has her treatments, in a car from 1998, which breaks frequently. The car was inherited by her partner, and they both desperately need a safe reliable vehicle in order to get Lynxi to her appointments.

Lynxi has lost her hair and eyelashes, and has had to have IVF treatments. She has debilitating chronic pain and fatigue as well as experiencing false menopause. Lynxi’s appetite is affected greatly, as common side effects of cancer treatments include nausea, diarrhea, skin reactions, and many other ailments. She is often bedbound as her movement is greatly affected by pain and fatigue.

Lynxi cannot travel to see her family in the UK as she is immunocompromised and is likely unable to see them this Christmas due to treatment. Her partner, Tom, is caring for her and has been extremely supportive, but he lost his mother to breast cancer in the same hospital that Lynxi is having treatment in. The emotional toll on both Lynxi and Tom is extreme, and we hope to take some pressure off with this fundraiser.

The majority of the funds will be used to ensure Lynxi can continue her treatments with a car replacement or upgrade, with any extra going towards remedies and relief for her physical and emotional needs such as travel arrangements to ensure her family can visit, cosmetic items like wigs and eyelashes, food and parking costs during treatment. Funds raised may also go towards relieving pressure from Tom with carers respite.
