From Reeling to Recovering

Donation protected

Anyone that knows my sister, Danielle Baker, knows that she is a great person and a wonderful asset to our family. She’s always been one to volunteer to help out in times of need, as is our mom, Monica. Well now they are the ones in need. Saturday, November 30th, Danielle lost mobility in her left side and began showing signs of a stroke. By Sunday morning she was being careflighted from the front yard of their house in Mount Calm. It’s been confirmed that she did indeed have a stroke, caused by 3 blood clots in her brain. She was transferred to a hospital in Temple where she underwent surgery to attempt to remove the 3 clots. Only two were retrieved, as the 3rd was unattainable because of a brain bleed. At this point, we are unsure what the future holds but we do know that we are all in for a long recovery process. Danielle has 4 beautiful children and 1 amazing grand daughter. Our mom, Monica, has had to take off unexpectedly from work, and at a most inopportune time, with Christmas just around the corner. This was completely unexpected and has put a financial burden on my family. We are asking for just a little help to be able to travel back and forth to the hospital, cover bills that can’t be covered because of the inability to work at this time, and possibly provide Christmas for her children and grandchild. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as would any prayers lifted up for my sister and our little family. Thank you and God Bless.
