Stolen Camera Gear

Everything was taken.

It’s not like me to ask for help, but I’ve had enough friends ask for a GoFundMe that I thought I’d put this up. I’m not looking for a certain amount, as the investment I made in my gear was massive; but at this rate anything will be considered a blessing. I would be incredibly blessed by your prayers to navigate this next season.

This week, on a trip to Switzerland from Milan, my pelican case was stolen right before the train left. (I was in Milan for vacation and going to Switzerland to photograph a friend’s engagement.)

I didn't realize it was stolen until I had to arrived in Switzerland, so I took the next train back to Milan, and started tracking the AirTag.

After tracking the AirTag for 24 hours throughout the night and all throughout Milan, I found my pelican case hidden under a bush today, but the case was completely empty.

Every bit of my photo gear: cameras, lenses, cards, hard drives were taken. I can replace gear, but can’t replace (most of) what was on the hard drives. That is the saddest part.

I am gutted and sick to my stomach, but God will restore, and joy comes in the morning.
