Yugambeh Caring for Country Reconciliation Fund

Jingeri - Hello in our Yugambeh language!
We are the traditional custodians of South-East Queensland and North-East New South Wales, stretching from the Logan to the Tweed, our people have a deep connection to our country and have strived for generations to maintain that as well as advocating for the protection of our Cultural Heritage, important ecology, and sacred sites.
This Reconciliation Week, we are asking Australians to help us launch our Yugambeh Caring for Country Reconciliation Fund, to enable us to further care for our country and protect our local Aboriginal cultural heritage, tangible and intangible.
We have a team of amazing Yugambeh men and women ready to go through our company the Yugambeh Land Enterprises Ltd, and we are eager to walk hand-in-hand with landowners, National Parks, and other bodies in caring for and managing our country.
Through this fund, we hope to create a minimum 3-year program to further projects in our local space to:
- Protect endangered and vulnerable wildlife, such as the Koala,
- Eradicate pest species damaging the local ecology,
- Further the incorporation of Traditional Indigenous Knowledge in land management,
- Propagate and preserve important ecological areas and plant species
- Build real economic opportunities for Yugambeh people.
Will you help us?
We have a big goal, but we have a big country to look after and we can't do it without you!
