Help Yuki (6mo old) fight Feline Coronavirus (FIP)

Hello, we're Kevin and Shakila and this fundraiser is to help cover Yuki's FIP treatment for the next 84 days. This disease has caused our once energetic and vibrant kitten to become severely lethargic, skinny and swollen in the abdomen with fluid.

FIP stands for Feline Infectious Peritonitis, a fatal disease that unfortunately leads pet owners to opt for euthanasia as treatment is not FDA approved in Canada. However the treatment is legal in other parts of the world. We were not aware of this disease and have learned so much in the past couple days. We thankfully found a community that is helping us proactively to find the best FIP treatment for our Yuki and unfortunately the treatment is not the most affordable as it is not covered by insurance.

100% of the fund will be going towards Yuki's treatment for 84 days and vet visits (blood tests for the progression of the virus, and ultrasound for the liquid in abdomen). He will get the first dose of treatment today (2022-10-02).

Kevin and I will continue posting updates. This has been a devastating period for us as we consider our precious Yuki to be a valuable member of the family, he's Kai's companion and the apple of our eye. We thank you for any donation, small or large, it is greatly appreciated. Thank you for giving our sweet Yuki a chance to return to his vibrant life and grow old with us.

Any remaining funds will be donated to rescue groups who are currently treating FIP diagnosed cats.
