Yuri Lopez Memorial Fund

Yuri was 34 years old when he passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. He was pursuing several dreams and plans, having come to the US several years before from Uruguay, and had made many friends-- an "extended family" along the way. 

Due to the nature and timing of his passing, his roommates, apartment manager, and I (hi, I'm his wife Jen! we may not have met) are in need of help recuperating cleaning and repair costs, and mortuary/processing fees.

When the weather warms up and it is a little safer to be near other people, we would like to honor Yuri with a tee shirt giveaway. Those who knew him well know he loved his band shirts and his video game shirts, and he left many behind. Some friends who didn't go to the bar regularly may be interested in coming by to snag a bar tee, perhaps there's a gamer or two in the mix out there. (The plain shirts and other usable clothing have been given to unhoused persons.) We are working on a location that will allow for distanced browsing and celebration.  

Our initial goal of $4K (reduced from 5K) includes:

$1-2K cleaning quote (**completed!**)
$600-1k Cremation *in process* (donation from family received)
$1K unforseen costs
