Dear Friend,
It is with a very heavy heart that I report to you that two weeks ago my 46-y.o. brother-in-law (wife’s brother), Motti Lipsh, (Kfar Chabad, Israel) was diagnosed with inoperable Stage IV Gastric Esophageal cancer.
I’m doing a raise for Motti, b/c he’s beginning an aggressive Chemo cocktail that’ll put him mostly out of commission. His wife (who herself is in the week of Shiva for her mother; that’s right, you can’t make this stuff up) as well will only be at work part time (and she is not even the majority breadwinner to begin with), b/c of the need to care for husband and kids. They require serious financial support. I hate asking and I certainly hate asking under these circumstances; but I have no choice – the life of a mother and two little kids (as well as a husband) are at stake; so that takes precedence over my pride. His budget is $5k per month (or 15k NIS).
So I’m turning to you, and appealing to your mercy. Whatever you can do, I, my wife and extended family, will forever be in your debt.
Your tax-deductible contribution may be made payable either to “ELCRF”, a local Detroit Community Refuah Fund, and mailed to my office address @ PLG 30500 NW Hwy., Ste 410, Farmington Hills, MI. 48334, or you may simply go to: http://www.gofundme.com/yvnsg84 or copy and paste into browser, and donate in a flash.
Thanks as always, and may the Z’chus of your outpouring of kindness and generosity serve as Melitz Yosher so that Hashem heal Mordechai ben Pesia Leah b’ofan nissi NOW!!!
I close with a heavy heart and tear-drenched eyes!!

[1] If your question is whether he smokes or drinks, the answer is he quit smoking twelve years ago, and he never drank. Sometime it’s just the unluck of the draw. Besides, in a man of this tender age, it is hardly habit related.
