Donate to help Yvonne Augarten

This fundraiser is for our beautiful Yvonne Augarten. She is 34 and was diagnosed with stage 2 acral lentiginous melanoma a very rare form that only affects 0.007-3.5 % of the population. Yvonne has been going to doctors for almost 15 years with many misdiagnosis’s, she finally went to a dermatologist who took the issue seriously.

Because of how far the cancer has progressed she has had her toe amputated which if diagnosed earlier could have been an office outpatient procedure.

Along with the amputation she had lymph nodes removed from her groin which will determine if the cancer has spread to any other organs in her body as well as any further treatment she may need. Her amputation recovery is around 6 weeks and then she will start physical therapy to help her adjust to loosing a big toe.

Yvonne doesn’t have health insurance and is paying for surgery, prescriptions and treatment out of pocket, not only adding this large expensive but also being forced to miss work for a minimum of 2 months.

This diagnosis has not only affected her financially but also emotionally and put her plans to further her education on hold as well as buying a house with her boyfriend Joey.

She is soooo strong and has gone through the unimaginable. Yvonne has given us all a smile on our face, please help donate to put a smile back on hers ☺️
