My name is Rachel. I lost my beloved sister, Yvonne Flo Gibson, yesterday. She was 30 years old. She had been battling with mental health issues for years…

Yvonne was born April 26th, 1993. She was my best friend growing up and an extremely empathetic, selfless person who gave love and support generously to family and friends alike. In high school she ran cross country and tutored math students after school. She graduated from CSU with a liberal arts degree before returning back to Grand Junction, CO, her hometown. Yvonne was the most wonderful sister, the most selfless human I’ve known. She loved baking, whipping up cakes and breakfast goods for my family. She loved horses and loved to ride. She was such a kind soul. I love her. I can’t believe she is gone. My family and I are in pure shock... the pain is too much right now.

We are trying to raise funds for a cremation and a viewing … as well as raising the funds for my other sister Hazel to come into town to say her final goodbye. We would be eternally grateful for anything you can donate…so we can say our final goodbye to my sister Yvonne or as I always called her… Yve.
