Yvonne M. Cavazos

Donation protected
In lieu of flowers the family would welcome donations both charitable and toward the funeral
costs. Our continued thanks for the plentiful prayers and support.

Yvonne M. Cavazos entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 15, 2022. At the age of 62 she was welcomed into Heaven for her first dance with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on February 3, 1960, to Otilia and Martin Guerrero, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Her contagious laughter and smile were brightest when serving those she loved most, her family. All of her children and grandchildren are proud to call her Mom and Nana. Her joy and excitement for life continuously unified her family. Whether it be her grand breakfast spreads, the well decorated birthday parties, or the many extracurricular activities her children had, she was always there.

Her strength of character was on full display during her battle with cancer. She taught us how to be strong, relish life, cherish family and how to accept death. She ran her race at her own pace while being guided by love, humility, joy, and perseverance.

She is survived by her dedicated husband, Albert Cavazos of 33 years; five children, Christopher (Amanda) Murray, Marc (Meghan Shea) Cavazos, A.J. Cavazos, Chloe Cavazos, and Alec Cavazos; two loving grandchildren, Aria Murray and Liam Murray. She is also survived by her brother, Martin Guerrero and countless loved ones.

Yvonne is preceded in death by her parents, Otilia and Martin Guerrero and sisters, Elizabeth Guerrero and Yolanda Guerrero Gonzalez.

Cancer does not care who it takes, who it hurts, or honor or love. In the end GRACE and LOVE win, not cancer. #F*ck Cancer.
