Yvonne's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
On September 2nd, 2019 Yvonne Villarreal was excited to celebrate her 49th birthday when she took a horrible fall down the stairs while visiting her sister, causing a compound fracture on her ankle. Yvonne was immediately rushed by an ambulance to the Trauma Center at University Hospital in San Antonio where she had an emergency surgery. The surgeon has ordered her to be on a Non Weight Bearing status (no walking, standing, or weight on the ankle) for approximately 3 months, preventing her from being able to work.  She is self-employed with a job that requires her to be on her feet 8 hours a day.

At the age of 17, Yvonne was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. It is important that she receives the proper rest and care during this critical time of healing because of her diabetes which puts her at a higher risk of infection and possibly amputation.

With that being said, Yvonne will need all the help that she can get. We are asking as a family for all of our friends and family to please come together and help her in this time of need, financially. As she will be overwhelmed with medical expenses and bills. This will allow her to focus on the big task at hand, getting better. She has a long recovery ahead of her and needs to focus on her healing. Any donation will not be too big or too small.
