Get My Father Home

The Older gentleman in the photos is my Dad, Larry Alan Thompson. He is 76 and I love him more than anything.
For those of you who may know my father know that he would give his shirt off his back to help anyone. He has taken people into wherever he has lived to help them with their struggles.
I think the reason he did this was because of all he had been thru. Polio as a kid, drafted to Vietnam, losing his career, losing his wife to cancer and then losing his home. All I know is he did whatever he could to help ANYONE not feel the pain he had felt. He never wanted anyone to hurt.
Over the past week I had the chance to visit with my Dad in North Carolina for Christmas. I was expecting to spend some quality time together and hopefully hear some jokes. That was not the case.
When I saw my Dad, he looked very unhealthy. He hadn't been eating and he told me he was in a very unsafe situation and saw no way out. He looked into my eyes and honest to God I have never seen someone more scared in my life.
He needed help and me and my sis didn't know what to do. We know we needed some place where he could be checked up on, and we know it had to be soon. We looked into every option and called everyone we knew, friends, relatives, agencies, heck we called everywhere. We looked over his Social Security and our income and nothing was working to afford getting him into assisted living. Me and my sis were really scared.
We found out that the majority of his Social Security was going towards debt he owed on his car, some debt from work he had done to maintain the vehicle, as well as debt he acquired to just live. It all totalled $10,000.00.
If we get this debt paid off, our Dad will be able to afford living in Senior Housing back here in CT.
I am asking for this help so we can get an old man, my father, out of an unhealthy living situation.
I'm asking for this so we can help the man I love more than anything.
I'm asking for this so we can help the man that would do whatever he could to make sure no one felt hurt.
I'm asking for this so we can make our Dad feel safe, something he hasn't felt in years.
Please help us get our Dad home.
Donate what you can and please pass this message on as this is an urgent matter.
Also email me at [email redacted] if you know of anything that can help.
