YWAM Kona Missions Experience

Hi!! My name is Abigail and I was recently accepted into the Fire and Fragrance Discipleship Training School with YWAM Kona for the January 2025 quarter!!! I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in such an amazing experience!!

Ever since my childhood, the Lord has instilled in me a deep desire to help people experience the transformative love and power of Jesus. Witnessing individuals surrender everything to God, declaring Jesus as their Lord and Savior, brings me so much joy. I adore seeing their lives beautifully transformed, becoming living proof of God's goodness. In 3rd grade, I led about 5 girls to know Jesus during a moment on the playground, and in 6th grade, a powerful experience with the Holy Spirit at chapel confirmed the Lord's calling for missions.

Every time there's an altar call at church, and people decide to devote their lives to Jesus, I am overwhelmed with the joy of the Lord. In those moments, I sense a gentle whisper from God within me, saying, "I'm calling YOU to GO and make disciples, just like this." Stirred by this recent awakening in my soul, I have finally decided to say YES to the call on my life and begin this unexpected and exciting journey ahead!

Through this journey, I’m deciding to trust that God will provide the resources necessary to help me reach the unreached with the powerful, life-changing love of Jesus. The Lord has placed such a desire in my heart to continue to grow in my own faith by KNOWING Him more and MAKING HIM KNOWN!! I can’t wait to have the privilege of carrying the good news of the gospel that has changed my life to the nations and to be able to spark change in so many people’s lives!!

The funds raised will go towards both the Training Phase and Outreach Phase in the program. In the training phase, I will be on the YWAM campus in Hawaii for 3 months, building a deeper relationship with Jesus by reading His word, learning about the character of God, and then being prepared to go out and tell others in the nations about Jesus. In the outreach phase, I will GO to a nation that the Lord calls me to for 3 more months, to a place where the people need to hear about the love of Jesus. Here, I will be challenged to proclaim the gospel with boldness, to love others, pray for miracles, and so much more.

I ask that you would do 2 things for me:

1. Please pray for me as I begin to step into this beautiful calling that the Lord has placed my life!! Pray for me as I prepare to go to Kona in January, that God would just prepare my heart, mind, and soul for all that is to come. Pray for me while I am there in Hawaii, attending Fire and Fragrance. That God’s hand would be in every kingdom friendship made, that He would reveal new things about Him to me, and that, by the end, I would be ready and trained in the best way to go out and share the GOOD NEWS of the GOSPEL!! Finally, pray for me especially as I am out in the nations MAKING JESUS KNOWN!! That God would give me the words to say to plant just the right seeds and bring so many people to come to know Him as their Lord and Savior!!

2. Please consider playing a part in the growth of God’s beautiful kingdom, and give back into this ministry that I am setting out to expand!!! Any amount given towards my experience at YWAM will be SO appreciated and needed. The funds raised will go towards any means necessary to help me go out and reach many people of different nations and backgrounds who will now have the ability to hear the GOOD NEWS of the Gospel thanks to YOUR step of faith and obedience!!
