YWAM Pisa: To Know God and Make Him Known

Hello, family and friends!

God has opened up an exciting next step for me: in September 2022, I will be joining Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Pisa, Italy.

YWAM is a global movement with the mission to know God and make Him known. At the Pisa base, I will attend the Life Around the Table Discipleship Training School (DTS), which includes a 3-month lecture phase in Pisa and 3 months of outreach in the nations. The Life Around the Table DTS is also specifically focused on themes of hospitality, arts in ministry, and worship.

Why YWAM? God is currently rebuilding me after a few years of intense spiritual and mental difficulties, and I believe He wants to use YWAM as a part of that rebuilding. During the past year, God has deepened my understanding of Kingdom purpose, provided freedom from lies and unhealthy mindsets about God and myself, and grown my hope for the future.

This spring, He laid the opportunity of YWAM, Pisa on my heart. I am trusting that God will use my time there to continue to deepen His truth in my spirit, grow my heart for His people, bring restoration and healing in my soul, and provide direction for my next steps in life.

Although I don’t know what will come next, God has invited me to have an adventure with Him, and I am accepting that invitation. I am expecting God to move mightily during YWAM—both in my life and in the lives of those I encounter! I am so excited for this opportunity, but I know this is something I can’t do on my own.

I am seeking to raise an estimated $8,500 for the lecture phase and outreach portion. This seems like a large number to raise, but I also know that every gift (however small) adds up quickly, and that God will provide where He has called.
