Let's Bring John HOME for the Holidays!
My work in helping seniors and their families navigate the maze of Senior Living Communities is rewarding and my focus is keeping safety and care as a top priority. John, one of my clients sadly is being evicted from his community for lack of funds. John is a gem. He is a widower with no children or family. He is a cat lover, adores music, specifically church hymns, and the opera. Even with his circumstances of having kidney failure and on dialysis, he is full of life and does not know a stranger.
I am working to find him a community that can care for him within his budget. He has a monthly shortfall every month and lacks the funds to pay the community fee and move.
Too often seniors are the forgotten population. There are so many circumstances I come across that the senior ends up short at the end of their life. Sometimes this is lack of planning but other times there are situations and series of unfortunate events that find them struggling to make ends meet. Our system does not have many solutions for those that do not have family and enough funds but are not sick enough for a Medicaid bed in a nursing home. Therefore, I need your help.
Together with my partners in Chicago and Philly, please help us, help John, and bring him HOME for the Holidays.
With immense gratitude,
Lori, Lorri and Susan
