Walk for Wayne

We are a group of Wayne’s friends (DJ Squad-E & Hypersonic) who sadly passed on 25th March 2021 and in honour of Wayne and his life an journey we are planning a sponsored walk in which all monies raised will be donated to charity/charities/group that deal and help with mental health and also help young kids in the community a group that Wayne himself was familiar with and would be happy these would benefit from this. 

(Words from the family) 

“We tragically lost Wayne on the 25th March 2021, after a fatal fall which devastatingly took him away from us all in the blink of an eye. Wayne had suffered with his mental health for a lot of his adult life but more often than not , a good walk and talk would work wonders for him! And so walking in his name to help raise money towards mental health charities close to Wayne and also the local boysee is an amazing thing to do in his memory!”

The walk it’s self will be around 7 miles long and  there will be a planned route that we will add over the next few days starting in Hunt cross ending at the Pier head and will suit all ages 

 

Wayne was a fun loving person and lived to love his music to which he reached great heights and amassed fans around the world who loved him as as DJ Squad-E but to his family and friend he was just Wayne.

 

Wayne himself struggled for many years with his own mental health and had to give up on his love for music to focus on himself and his health but with its constant ups and downs never seemed to fully heal not for the lack of trying by himself his loving and caring family and close friends

 

Wayne passed 25th March 2021 and his 1 year anniversary is just 6 weeks away so not only is this walk to raise awareness to mental health but also to celebrate the life and achievements of Wayne or DJ Squad-E or however you knew and remembered him even if you didn’t know him you can still join in as mental health effects us all

 

This walk will take place starting 11am Saturday 26th March at The purple Olive Hunts Cross and Finishing at the Pier Head Liverpool around 3:30 and all is welcome. 

 

 

limited edition T-shirts will be getting made with a picture of Wayne on the front and Walk for Wayne on the back these can be purchased prior to the walk to be worn on the walk for £10 all profits will be donated to the said group/groups below

We will ad T-shirts sizing to the page over the next few days so state your size when ordering and remember these are limited so  be quick 

 

Please can all people attending the walk remember to be respectful from start to finish as we are doing this in our friends name and we don’t want nothing negative towards that thanks

 

No profits what so ever will be getting made from this event all are time and efforts sorting this out and organising have been made voluntary by Wayne’s friends alls we ask is to give what ever you can and even if you can’t that’s fine please still come along and join in also people who can’t attend can still donate or even share this page or even ad a message or story they have about Wayne 

 

all donations will be made to Halewood Youth In the Community Centre a great organisation that’s ran off donations and money raised from the community ran by Dawn Corrie 

Halewood youth is in desperate need of a new mini bus to get the kids around safely on days out and picked up and on activies also when they are out raising their own money so let’s all do what we can to help raise money to go towards a new bus in the name of Wayne and mental health awareness 

 

Mental health can start in very early years in kids so it’s good to get them on the right track early which is what this group does but also helps and interacts with all ages through to elderly in the community Wayne himself was familiar with Halewood Youth (The Boysee as he would know it) he lived just metres from there.
