House fire displaced family of 7

Hello, my name is Jameka and on 4/30/21 me and my family of 6 were displaced due to a house fire caused by my upstairs neighbor. Around 9am on this day, we woke up to the fire alarms and sprinklers causing water damage in my unit downstairs. Around 45 minutes later the fire department arrived and observed the neighbor left a pot on the stove which caused the fire. Due to this incident, there was severe water damage to our belongings and the apartment was ruined. I contacted red cross who was able to place us in a hotel for the weekend. I have been in contact with my apartment manager who stated they would not be able to repair the apartment with us there and that they did not have another unit to place us in until the repairs were finished. They offered to refund my deposit for us to move immediately but unfortunately the $225 deposit is not enough to move upon such short notice. I was also informed from my renters insurance they do not fund displacements.  The funds raised from this page will assist me with moving cost such as application fees, deposit, and helping me to replace my children into a new apartment due to this unfortunate event on such short notice.
