My brother, Kevin Smith, has recently suffered a devastating injury, including a bilateral broken jaw, facial bones broken away from the skull, and missing teeth. Thankfully, there are no spine or brain injuries, though they continue to monitor his condition closely. He is now facing the daunting process of reconstructive facial surgery and a tracheostomy. As a result, he will be unable to work for several months.
