Please help Baby Bella and her family. On 12/29 Loren (Dad) & Erica (Mom) rushed Bella to the emergency room with a 105 degree temperature. The hospital was able to get her temperature down and after doing numerous tests, X-rays and ultrasound she was sent home with what was thought to be a virus. At 1:00 am the next morning her fever returned, unable to get her fever down they took her to the E.R again, they were sent home again after more tests, but as soon as they arrived home the Dr. called them and said they had to return because she tested positive for Haemophilus Influenzae. She's had to endure a spinal tap, which showed bacteria in her spinal fluid, and as of now is on 2 types of antibiotics, plus steroids . As of right now we're waiting to see what strain she has, she will be in the hospital for at least 7 days, and could extend up to 3 weeks. Many of you know the McWilliams family because they own Lenny's bike shop in Ferndale. Erica runs the shop, she won't be able to work for awhile because she will be with Bella, so her income will have to go to someone else so they can run the shop. Loren doesn't have much vacation left, so if he does take time off from work he will not be paid. On top of this they have 2 boys that will not be able to see their sister for quite awhile. They have helped the Ferndale community numerous times by donating bikes, time and labor to under privileged youth, let's help them out in their time of need.
