My Family Needs a New Fridge

Old Mother Hubbard went to the cupboard...
Well, okay, not exactly, but I went to the fridge and it was not there,
for the spot where it had once been was empty and bare,
For a while all I felt was a terrible despair,
I wanted cold food but the world did not care.
I hate rhyming poetry but I do like food.
A week and a half ago, my youngest daughter and I discovered that our fridge was broken. That really sucked, but I was thankful that happened BEFORE I loaded it up with $100 worth of food, because that would have pissed me off even more. So there is an up side to the fact that I was too broke to even buy groceries. It means we wasted very little food.
We stayed up until 3:00 AM troubleshoot and fix it before realizing that even though we are smart women, it was a lost cause. Our time ended up being better spent going to bed, so we did. I called a technician and long story short is we need a new fridge.
We need a small (apartment sized) fridge/freezer combo. There are four of us (one adult and three children) living in the home and we just want to be able to keep our food cold. We really like being able to eat. Fancy that! Life can be a bitch, you know, and I have no way of purchasing another fridge, even on a payment plan which I tried first.
We aren't fancy people and I will buy whatever works despite my preferences. I can't even buy a used fridge because I do not have the cash to do so.
To add insult to injury (or because the universe is just plain rude), a couple of days ago I found out that I need a new laptop also, and it needs to be Windows or Mac, as the things I need to do like format books can't be done on my Chromebook and writing is how I make my money. This is something I need to purchase as soon as I can so that I can keep making books, and also run the software I need which also cannot be used with a Chromebook.
The first item of business is definitely the fridge, as it's pressing, but so is the other as it's a tool to continue making money. My current laptop that is inadequate for my needs is just perfect for you youngest daughter for the new school year, though.
If you feel like throwing some dollars my way to help, you know what to do. You will be rewarded with good karma (or at least I hope so).
Funds can also be sent via Venmo @Katy-Anne-Binstead
or CashApp $MaryClareS
to avoid those pesky fees,
for it is well known that money does not grow on trees.
(what a bummer).
