Laura’s Road to Recovery

In December of 2023, we discovered that our mom, Laura, had terminal pancreatic cancer at the age of 53. She has two daughters, Coco, 16, and myself Mya, 23. Within a few months of this news, we were preparing for the end of her life. March of this year she began her stay at Kelowna Hospice House. At this time, we began to start to process what was to come, with no hope.

Prior to being diagnosed, she spent her time operating her business, driving her beloved jeep, adventuring the outdoors, paddle boarding, riding her bike, watching her daughters play sports, and ALWAYS experimenting with a new healthy recipe.

Recently, we have discovered a treatment centre outside of the country that has given us a glimpse of hope. This centre has patients of all diagnoses, now living cancer free.
