Transportation for a College Student

Hi! I am Heidi and I am fundraising for a mode of transportation for myself. This past Sunday (6/25/23), severe winds knocked over a mature oak tree in my yard and onto my house while I was home alone. It totaled my car, destroyed the main gas line to the house, and took out the power lines. The roof of my home was severely damaged, and I was forced to evacuate. Though insurance will cover some of the damages to the home, it will not cover anything in regard to my car. In the days preceding the tree falling, I had been working on the car's transmission myself. My family and I have been struggling to keep the car running smoothly as it was almost 20 years old (2004 Chevy Blazer) and do not have the means to purchase myself another car for the moment. I am working and also a college student, and I need a way to get to and from school and work in the coming weeks. I will be using any funds collected to purchase a reliable, used car for these purposes. Anything helps, and your support is greatly appreciated!
