Help support the Zavala family
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that I'm turning to you now to ask for your help, not for myself, but for my nephew Brad Zavala and his family. His wife Maree and their children have suffered in silence these past few years under the tremendous pressure of ongoing medical expenses. Their father, Brad, is currently in the hospital undergoing another surgery in an attempt to save his remaining leg. With his permission and that of his family, I am asking anyone who might be able to help. It has taken all of their strength to make it this far. I ask that you keep his family in your thoughts and prayers too. Brad has been in a wheelchair since losing a segment of his leg to the condition that has now spread to his other foot, leaving him disabled and unable to support his family.
Brand and his family have created a business that is preserving the Lakota native traditions in 2022. By handmaking ceremonial drums, par-flesh bags and boxes, and beautiful quilled medallions and bags, all in 113-degree Las Vegas, NV heat. They hand scrap brain-tan full-size buffalo hides for their craft materials, as well as clean quills and other additional materials from animals. This is a traditional art, something that isn't commonly done in today's time. Due to this medical situation, the family has been struggling to maintain their family's heritage and business with the loss of his foot at the start of his struggles. I'm asking for your compassion, hoping you will help with any show of support you can offer. Anything helps; even knowing that someone out there cares means so much and reignites the spark of our hope within.
