LIVE LIFE TO THE MAX....
One day, she will stand up in court fighting a case. Fearless. Determined. With much compassion. Against all odds. Hope against hope! This is her career path.
But today, within her own frail body, she is fighting a battle.
A case against the Big C. She is diagnosed with OSTEOSARCOMA.
She is 19 years old. Daughter, big sister granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend ...
She is our MAXINE.
A few months back she was teeming with energy, so vibrant with life! She is born a leader. A creative thinker. A winner. A happy normal teenager.
At home, she is her parents’ right hand... taking charge of her siblings Mica, Martha and Marco. Their big Ate Maxine!
In school, she excels. She was a student president at Sacred Heart Academy when she graduated from high school. With big dreams of becoming a defender of the law. She is now freshman at the University of Santo Tomas taking up Legal Management.
Yet today she fights. We fight with her to MAX out all cancer cells invading her body. We are put on halt. A temporary set back at the crossroads.
THE CURE? Only pure love and prayers from family and friends and an invasive six rounds of chemo therapy and surgery. In faith, we surrender to our Lord’s healing grace and provisions. In complete trust, we pin our hopes on experienced doctors who will do a limb saving procedure in November. We remain positive that all will go well. No one fights this battle alone. Maxine will win this case.
And true to character, along with us, she embraces hope, courage, strength and determination to overcome. These are the life values that run in her blood...the very essence of her being.
Deep in our hearts, down on our knees, we recite her mantra day by day...LIVE LIFE TO THE MAX. LOVE TO THE MAX...because we believe and receive God’ s amazing grace in every breath she takes.
We raise love, we will sow love. God on our side. We know, as it is with every life event, this, too will pass.
On behalf of the Santos-Tankia Blanco family... we encourage you to fight with us!
This is our Teen Advocacy against the Big C—Fight to the Max! Over and over! Again and again!
LIVE LIFE TO THE MAX!
Your help, support and assistance to aid Mommy Belle & Daddy Guegs are very much appreciated.
Because one day, Maxine will stand up to fight for YOU and win your case in court. Fearless. Determined. Emboldened with much compassion.
God bless everyone! Thankful to the MAX!

YOUR HELP...
The best care is offered only to those who can afford to pay. Sad to say, her insurance won't cover the amount needed for her treatment plan and the financial burden of having to cover this treatment can be tough for this family.
We have great hopes that she’s surrounded with good doctors and nurses around her. Filipino doctors and nurses are world class and everyone in the US are raving about them.
So we humbly ask you to:
1. Share whatever amount whether it’s $10 or $100 to help with her medical expenses. Her total expenses might be around $15,000 to $25,000.
Thank you to those who will share and here's Maxine's treatment plan schedule in the Philippines.
1st week of September 2018
* 1st cycle of chemotherapy - done
2nd week of October 2018
* 2nd cycle of chemotherapy
2nd week of November 2018
* A limb-salvage or limb-saving major surgery - we pray for the latter and this procedure will require a metal
bone implant to replace her femur bone. The 1st option would mean an all new prostethics legs for her.
2nd week of December 2018
*3rd cycle of chemotherapy
2nd week of January 2019
*4th cycle of chemotherapy
1st week of February 2019
*5th cycle of chemotherapy
1st week of March 2019
*6th and hopefully last of her cycle of chemotherapy
Thank you and godbless everyone!
