On Mother’s Day 2022, a day reserved for celebrating mothers worldwide for their bravery, love and lifelong sacrifice, a tragedy occurred, changing the meaning of the day for two mothers and their families and friends. 

The Party City shooting of Lexi and Mario was an unspeakable travesty. Two young lives were cut short, ending the amazing people they were meant to become and the many lives they would’ve touched in the process. 

Lexi was a daughter, a sister, a granddaughter, a girlfriend, a friend to many and a member of our community. Lexi wanted to be a lawyer, helping others in need. She had a love, and fascination, of the arts and sciences and like many, found her first true love. Her hopes and dreams will remain unfulfilled and the hearts, and lives, of many will never be the same.
