Help Isaiyah Beat Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and community members,
I’m hoping to reach out for support on behalf of my wonderful partner, Isaiyah Rivera. If you have had the pleasure of meeting him, you know how much of a caring, kind, funny, and thoughtful man he is.
In 2023, Isaiyah continued to plan for his future: working tirelessly every single day, hoping to save up enough money to get his own apartment and really start his life at 21 years old.
In mid-december, Isaiyah was feeling a terrible ache in his back after a long day at work. He went to urgent care expecting there to be a pulled muscle, or maybe worst case scenario, a broken bone. The urgent care in Smithfield scanned his body and found that he had pulled a ligament, but that wasn’t what the nurse was concerned about. She was looking at the spots they saw on Isaiyah’s lungs (through an x-ray). He was told to go to his doctor as soon as possible.
A few days later, Isaiyah was referred to a local cancer doctor, just to make sure everything was okay. We went immediately. It didn’t take long into the appointment before we were told that Isaiyah has stage 3 metastatic cancer and that it has already spread to multiple areas in his body.
Isaiyah made the brave decision to go through with surgery and chemotherapy, but we are already severely struggling with paying his medical bills. Isaiyah has been paying entirely out of pocket, but unfortunately, he cannot do that anymore. There just isn’t enough.
Isaiyah’s doctor informed us that he will need to go through multiple rounds of chemo, as well as tests, scans, and more.. We are looking for some extra funds for both inpatient and outpatient care for Isaiyah such as chemo, surgical needs, medications, therapies, etc..
If you can donate a small amount or share this link, it will go such a long way. We need Isaiyah to be smiling and healthy again, and we can’t do it without your help. All funds will be put towards Isaiyah’s healing process.
Appreciatively,
Grace
