Michael Noblitt was diagnosed with adrenal cortical carcinoma February 2015. Prior to this diagnosis, he was a very healthy happy 26 year old man who had married his high school sweetheart. This young couple had found out, just two days prior, that they would be having their first child.
Matthew 5:45 “He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.”
Although this young couple had just received some of the best news in their marriage, they had also received some of the most traumatic. This would be a test of faith in the Lord that they serve.
Adrenal cortical carcinoma is a very rare aggressive cancer. Michael has always had some stomach issues but one Wednesday night after church some guys from church got together to play basketball; Michael had to go to show off his moves! While playing, Michael had some right sided cramping, different than his normal stomach pain. The next morning they went to the family doctor and had an ultrasound only to find this grapefruit size tumor.
After speaking with multiple doctors, cancer was never spoken of because it is just so rare. On the day of surgery the surgeon came out to update the waiting room filled with family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ of the diagnosis of cancer. Falling to our knees, filled with emotion and tears, we prayed to our Great Physician.
Since the surgery to remove the adrenal gland and the tumor, Michael has been through six weeks of radiation, three rounds of chemotherapy, and attempted an experimental drug. The cancer has continued to grow and spread. He currently has tumors in his lungs, liver, lymph nodes and all throughout his intestines. Recently, the tumors have caused issues with digestion, so Michael has had a G/J tube placed to help with feedings and digestion.
Michael was also blessed with a 7 pound 12 ounce baby girl names Annabelle Kay! His family, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ continue to fight cancer right by his side. The amount of cards, prayers, financial support, and delicious meals have been overwhelming during this battle.
Michael’s hope during this battle is that with each person he comes in contact with sees the Light that shines within. He is not scared to die; he has the hope of being with his Father where there is no sickness, pain, and sadness.
Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Please help Michael, Cazeo and Annabelle with the expenses they have incurred throughout Michael’s treatment. Any amount is graciously accepted.
